I went on a new field trip this week (well okay last Monday) which was pretty fun (esp since it was free!)

Its that time

of the year I hate when I actually have to turn my AC on... Yes its only on to 81 and only for about an hour at a time but sigh, here come the big electric bills... I really like just having the windows and deck open :(

I did not take this picture in the cast elevator of the Wilderness Lodge ;) I just really liked it and it was before I ended up with a smaller version of the interior piece for my own (and the cast exclusive pin- good thing the merch mgr likes me..)

What happened ?

So I went in search of a first birthday present today and never expected to have so much trouble finding something fun, not uber expensive and cute... First I wanted to get some little people toys- Since when did those all become ages 2 and up, with bendi people and small accessories? I was able to find the big sets like the Ark and Castle but with all due respect I'm not spending 30 bucks on a birthday present, and neither Mart, Target or Toys R Us had anything smaller... Plan B didn't work cause there is somehow a shortage of cute, age appropriate, but not 30 buck toys..

So plan C I decided to get a cute book. Did I miss the banning of classic literature? I wouldve thought in the whole corner of kids books at Borders I'd be able to find *something* reasonable (IMO 15 bucks for Go Dog Go is CRAZY) but the lack of non hard bound "collectors" editions was amazing...

What do kids read now days with the lack of Berenstein Bears, Little Critter & Little Golden Books? Borders had about 3 of each series (which were out of range for what I needed today but still!)

Is it a bad thing when I now want another school bread?

So I am still miffed that the "party line" for why they removed the strawberry swirls from the Enchanted Grove is that they had too many calories... Seriously?! Somehow I don't think the turkey legs down the way are any healthier? (or the double bacon burgers across the path)

It's not (currently) raining and the sun is out! It doesn't seem clear enough to land the shuttle here :( but beggars can't be choosers... Yes It'll prob rain all afternoon but for now, I'm happy!

Even if its sunny, not a cloud in the sky and hot does *not* mean to leave the poncho in the car... Cause in 20 minutes it'll be raining like crazy...

The *&^$ Gecko was right...

so my insurance is due for renewel in June and since the premium keeps going up and up I decided to shop around- How one could be so much lower than another with the same limits is amazing... So cause I really didn't want the hassle of switching I called to see if Allstate could give me a better quote.. They offered to knock 5 bucks off so I switched well officially I'll switch on June 1 but the gecko was right I saved almost 240 per 6 months with the SAME limits (and it includes road side protection and a lower deductible for collision)

Stuff

Today Im getting (or supposed to be getting) my carpets cleaned so most of my house has had to relocate into the kitchen. In 2/3rds of the house it looks like Im moving out in the other 1/3rd it looks like Im a hoarder... How did i get so much stuff...

The seasons change

So today when I was working at the Studios it was bright, sunny and rather warm (though not (&^$ hot as it has been), after I got off I went to take several '365' pictures, after I decided to leave and was driving home the weather changed drastically.. By the time I was 1/2 home it was raining, then down-pouring and lighting seemed to be striking all the way around the car all the rest of the way home to the point all you can see is the foot ahead of you. Several hours later its still raining rather heavily...

Least I don't have to turn on my AC tonight... Keeping the window and screen door open is plenty!

is the max discount savings you can use in one calendar year at WDW... and someone tripped that matrix today at the pin sale (I don't know who-it was just the buzz from the CMs) I can safely say I will never trip that matrix (heck if it was a 1,000 matrix I still wouldn't trip it)
